Happy February One!
Monday, February 1st, 2010
February is the start of Black History Month, but February 1st is a great day in itself. On this day in 1960, four young men from my alma mater (Aggie Pride!!) sat down at a Woolworth counter in downtown Greensboro, NC and ignited the Sit-In movement.
These four freshman not only changed the course of history through their courage and audacity, they also inspired (and continue to do so) a nation of young people to take a stand for equality.

In your remembrence of the game-changing actions of the Greensboro Four, please let us not forget the power in their engine; the Dangerously Beautiful Belles across the street at the all Women’s Bennett College. Stay holding it down, Ladies!
