World AIDS Day
I don’t know if many of you know that December 1st of every year is World AIDS day. While I normally post about things that I like or happy go lucky topics because I’m just a happy person, this is a subject that needs some attention. HIV and AIDS are those subjects that people don’t really want to talk about or address that there’s a problem. Well everyone, we can’t ignore this or pretend it doesn’t exist. The statistics are alarming.
Did you know that the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) reports that still more than 33 million people worldwide are living with the disease. Last year alone there were nearly three million new infections, and two million deaths as a result of the disease. And if that doesn’t wake you up, half of all new HIV infections are believed to occur in people under the age of 25. Latinos and African-Americans are up to 23 times more likely to be diagnosed with the disease and AIDS is the leading cause of death for African American women aged 25 to 34.

I say this my Dangerously Beautiful Women, help stop the spread of AIDS by using a condom EVERY time you have sex and try being faithful to a single partner. I’m not one to past judgment on your personal lives, but the number of women living with HIV has tripled in the last two decades. Let’s all do our part!
