New Music-Work Out

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

This is definitely the kind of rap that I like. I know it may sound corny, but I need a chorus that I can sing along with. I love that Work Out samples lines from Paula Abdul’s  Straight Up. I used to LOVE that song. The beat and the entire production just has that nice bob your head type of vibe.  J. Cole has a habit of getting me all fired up (You don’t want to be around me when Blow Up is playing). I mean he makes me want to put on my DB swag and spit a few bars! LMFAO! I don’t think anyone would want to hear my flow, but in my head it’s AMAZING! What do you all think?

Keyshia Dior is Dangerously Beautiful

Keyshia Dior – Building the Brand Documentary from Halo Media Entertainment on Vimeo.

I found this to be really interesting.  I abso-freaking-lutely love how Keyshia is building her brand and image.  In her short time within the entertainment industry Ms. Keyshia Dior has expanded on her beginnings as a model and video vixen to being an entrepreneur behind KA`OIR, her brand of awesomely eye-popping lipstick.

What I love most is how Keyshia is showing young ladies that there is more to being eye-candy.  She had an idea, set her goals and is achieving it right before us.  When she says she’s taking KA`OIR to the runways of Paris & Milan, I believe her.

Keyshia Dior is Dangerously Beautiful.

And she’s Jamaican <3

Every Argument Every Couple Ever Has EVER. from Casey Donahue on Vimeo.

I know this is a bit dramatized, but I can totally relate to a few of those arguments…

Final Destination 5

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Let me start off by saying that you will only appreciate this movie if you are a fan of the series (like my honey). The Final Destination 5 follows the same theme as the previous movies, when people cheat death, death then finds a way of catching up and restoring its original intentions in some pretty inventive ways.

It’s obvious that Final Destination 5 won’t win any awards for acting, but I have to admit that it was pretty entertaining. We saw it in 3D which took some adjusting. I’m not a big fan of those silly glasses because they make my eyes feel weird, but the 3D did add a nice effect to the infamous death scenes. They’re never the way you think it’s going to happen. It’s always some crazy, over the top twist. You won’t figure it out until it actually happens.

If you have seen at least the first one, you will appreciate the twists at the end. I can’t go into details, because it will take away from the ending, but the writers did a great job tying it all together.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

Flashback Friday

Friday, August 12th, 2011

Being the great girlfriend that I am, I got my honey Watch The Throne tickets for his birthday (I know, I’m pretty awesome)! So until that magical Monday in November (11/14/11), I will do at least one flashback a month for Jay and Kanye. This week is a double flashback with a DB throwback! Can you tell me what song this popular line came from?

Click for the video and answer.

New Music-Cry Baby

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

Is that Steve Urkel?!?! Well more like Stefan Urquelle. Leave it to Cee Lo Green to bring Jaleel White to a music video. The song is cute and the video a bit on the cheesy side (I was just waiting for an Old Navy logo to pop out at any moment). But I like cheese sometimes. What did you guys think of Cry Baby?
