In memory of the extremely talented Nick Ashford, this week’s Flashback Friday goes to one of my favorites, Solid As A Rock. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Ashford and Simpson, you’re missing out. They were awesome as performers (super cute as a couple I must add), but also responsible for writing great songs for artist like Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrel, Gladys Knights and The Pips, Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, Chaka Khan, and the list can go on and on. Ever hear the song  Ain’t No Mountain or I’m Every Woman, well they wrote the lyrics. I always like the lyrics for Solid As A Rock, and remember singing my favorite part as a kid… The thrill is still Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot.

My sweet love song crooner Bruno on a song with Eminem? Get outta here…. I must say that I like the song. Bruno Mars always adds to any song he’s on and I found out that he actually produced the track (with the help of the Smeezingtons). Greatness! Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 (what a long name) were great on the track as well. “Had a dream I was King.I woke up, still King.” You know I like that one! The video was pretty cool too. The ending was my favorite part (even though it reminded me of Tangled). What did you all think about Lighters?  This one is for you and me. Living out our dreams. We are right where we should be….

Once I heard Anne Hathaway say the rap song was in the style of Lil Wayne, I knew this was going to be funny! Hilarious…Now it’s just a matter of time before she makes an album. What did you guys think?

This used to be my favorite thing on the IHOP menu! I had it soo many times that I would crave it at two in the morning! I can’t believe they no longer have it on there. Major fail! I’m not even a huge sausage lover. But there is just something about the combination of IHOP’s buttery, light delicate pancakes, with the perfect amount of spice from the sausage, and butter pecan syrup oozing over your fork! Yummy! Please add it back to the menu.
