Dangerously Beautiful

I used to eat these so much that I didn’t even want to eat food.  My mother hated them and practically banned me from eating Now and Laters because I would tear my braces apart with them.  It seems like we were at the orthodontist  every week getting those railroad tracks fixed.  I hate bananas (they make me want to hurl), but the banana flavored Now and Laters were my favorite.  What was your favorite flavor?

Janet showed them how it’s done last night on American Idol.  She started with a song from the Tyler Perry movie “Why Did I Get Married Too.”  I posted about this song previously and I like it, but it’s not a show stopper.  I think sometimes we forget that Janet is a Jackson and she learned well from her brother MJ.  The nice and sweet Janet turned up the heat and showed the Janet I loved when I was growing up.  Nasty is one of my favorite songs from her, so you know that I was singing along.  She put on a great performance and she looked great.  I wonder if I could pull off that hair cut. Definitely Dangerously Beautiful.  What did you all think?

I scratched my cornea and it hurts like hell!  It could have happened to anyone, but contact wearers be extra careful. Stuff can get trapped underneath your contact and it makes it worse. When something gets in your eye, it’s only natural to try and  rub it out.  WRONG!  What you should do is flush your eye with water.  As you have probably figured out, I rubbed it out and it took a piece of my cornea with it.  The doctor tried to make me feel better by saying that it was a very small piece.  Well it feels like my entire eyeball is going to fall out when I put in those drops.  Take it from me, you don’t want to scratch your cornea, it even hurts when you sleep!

Sunglasses are a huge necessity for me. My eyes are very small to begin with, so a little squint and I can’t see a thing!  I normally have about 3 pair because I misplace them all the time.  Lately, I have noticed that more and more people have been wearing them at night. Seems a little strange to me since there isn’t any sun and that kinda defeats the whole purpose.  Celebrities have always worn them at night because they’re just so “cool” or whatever the reason.  I’ve actually been caught wearing glasses as the sun is setting and I couldn’t see, so why would someone wear them at night? I wonder how many people have busted their asses wearing them. One of those little things that boggle my mind.  Is it really just for fashion, or are people hiding behind them?  What do you all think?

This is so funny to me.  What the heck will they come up with next.  Maybe this is for smaller breasted women, because I have no problem with putting my money and in my bra without it falling out.  Wouldn’t this show through your shirt?  They show lipstick, a cell phone, and a ink pen.  I don’t need all of that when I go out anyhow.  I think I’ll stick to my cute wristlets.  What do you guys think?

Now, this is a sign of  the future.  You can try on nail polish and not have to worry about looking for remover.  I love different nail polish colors and OPI happens to be my favorite brand by far .  How cool is it that they created an AP which allows you to try on nail polish colors (for IPhone users only of course).  You get to select your skin tone and like that you’re in business.

I have tons of colors, but I’m constantly buying more.  I use nail polish as a little way to express myself.  Don’t call me crazy, but I prefer very nude colors on my hands and whatever I am in the mood for on my toes!  No color is out when it comes to the piggies.  The only reason I like nude colors on my fingers is because no matter how expensive the nail polish, it always chips and I hate chipped polish.  Super tacky!

I know everyone remembers this song.  I loved it!  Wow, look how young Usher was in this video.  I remember saying that he shouldn’t take off his shirt because he was letting all the birds fly out!  Wow, I forgot that was Tyrese in this video and Jermaine Dupri. LOL!  Videos back then had a whole story.  Typical high school stuff, fighting over a girl.  Super cute.  I loved this entire album.  I played it over and over again. What was your favorite off the album My Way?

Let me not spoil this for all the sushi lovers, but I just don’t like raw fish.  I have tried it, but I don’t like the consistency.  Therefore, I decided long ago that sushi wasn’t for me.  WRONG!  Why didn’t anyone ever tell me about the cooked rolls.  Absolutely delicious!  I’m a huge fan of the JB Tempura, and Volcano Rolls.  Can we say yummy!  Now I’m experimenting with the different sauces like spicy mayo and eel sauce.  Good stuff.  Ginger and wasabi are so good together, so now I am a huge fan of sushi!  It’s gotten so bad that I have eaten it 3 times in the last week.  Oh boy!  Don’t forget to get brown rice!  What are some of your favorite sushi rolls?  Any suggestions on what to try next?

Okay, I can’t call these beautiful creations a trend because they have been around too long already,  but I can tell you that I love them.  They can make anything look great.  A true must have accessory.  This is a great item to add to a plain t shirt or simple little dress.  They come in so many great styles and colors, my only problem is picking one!  Lately, I have been playing with some of the more colorful pieces.  Paired up with a neutral color or black, you’re sure to get the right combo.  Another plus, getting a really funky color or print can justify getting those over the top shoes you want, but didn’t have anything to match.  More than likely, there’s a bib necklace waiting to get picked up!  What do you guys think, Delicious or Disastrous?

Last night, I caught the new release Just Wright. I really enjoyed watching this movie with my honey (and no it wasn’t just because I was with my him!)  This is your typical romantic comedy (which I am a sucker for), where the lead lady always get her man. Even though they pretty much give away the entire movie in the previews, it’s still worth seeing.

Queen Latifah has become a very charismatic actress to me.  I actually believe she’s the person she’s playing on screen.  She never seems to try so hard to be something she isn’t.  What you see is what you get.

She was the best in the movie in my opinion.  Common has gotten better, but maybe it was just hard for me because he seems so short and skinny to be a basketball player.  True, he’s ripped and looks yummy with his shirt off, somehow he just doesn’t have that NBA appeal.  Paula Patton does a good job of playing a plastic, gold digger.  But I didn’t really like her character, so maybe I’m bais.

There were cameos from Phylicia Rashad, Pam Grier, Dwayne Wade (who should really not stop playing basketball to act)  All in all, you should take time to check it out.  Especially with your honey!
